Overview

Engineered FRP Pultruded Grating for Heavy-Duty Industrial Environments

FRP pultruded grating is manufactured using a continuous pultrusion process where E-CR glass fibers are impregnated with premium resin and drawn through a heated die to form high-strength, uniform cross-section bars. These bars are then assembled into a rigid grating panel using through-rod connections, creating a bearing bar system that delivers exceptional load-bearing performance.

Unlike molded grating, pultruded grating features unidirectional glass fiber orientation in the bearing bars, resulting in significantly higher strength in the load direction — up to 1000 psf capacity. This makes it the preferred choice for heavy industrial applications such as offshore platforms, chemical plants, power generation facilities, and mining operations where maximum strength and durability are required.

Available in multiple material grades including I-600 (standard), I-650 (fire retardant), and I-685 (corrosion-resistant vinyl ester). All panels feature a grit-embedded anti-slip surface and are available with I-bar, T-bar, or C-profile bearing bars. Custom panel widths, lengths, cutouts, and colors available to match your exact project specifications.

Features & Benefits

FRP pultruded grating features

Key Features

Core product advantages at a glance

Highest Load Capacity in Its Class

Unidirectional glass fiber orientation delivers up to 1000 psf load capacity — the highest of any FRP grating type. Ideal for heavy vehicular traffic and equipment platforms.

Extended Span Capability

Pultruded bearing bars can span up to 20ft (6m) without intermediate supports, reducing substructure costs and installation time.

Superior Corrosion & Chemical Resistance

Vinyl ester resin options provide exceptional resistance to strong acids, bleaches, and aggressive chemicals. Outperforms stainless steel in many corrosive environments.

Modular Design & Easy Installation

Lightweight panels with predrilled mounting holes and integrated clip systems enable rapid installation without specialized equipment or welding.

Slip-Resistant Safety Surface

Embedded silica grit top surface provides reliable slip resistance (COF > 0.85) meeting OSHA, ANSI, and international safety standards for walkway applications.

Non-Conductive & Spark-Proof

Electrically non-conductive and non-sparking, making it the safest flooring solution for electrical rooms, transformer stations, and explosive environments.
