Product Overview

Engineered for the Toughest Industrial Environments

Pultruded grating is manufactured using a continuous pultrusion process where continuous E-glass fiber rovings are impregnated with corrosion-resistant resin and pulled through precision-heated dies to form rigid, high-strength profiles. Unlike molded grating, pultruded grating features unidirectional glass fiber reinforcement that delivers superior longitudinal strength, making it the preferred solution for load-bearing applications in heavy industrial settings where structural integrity is critical.

Our I-Bar and T-Bar pultruded grating profiles are engineered to meet the most demanding load requirements across chemical processing plants, offshore oil platforms, power generation facilities, and wastewater treatment plants. With bearing bar depths ranging from 25 mm to 50 mm and custom-engineered resin systems including vinyl ester, polyester, and fire-retardant (FR) formulations, these grating panels deliver exceptional corrosion resistance, fire retardancy, and long-term structural performance in environments where steel and aluminum rapidly degrade.

The open grid design provides efficient drainage of liquids and debris while delivering excellent slip resistance for worker safety. Combined with non-conductive, non-magnetic properties and a weight approximately 75% lighter than steel, pultruded I-Bar and T-Bar grating significantly reduces installation costs, structural support requirements, and lifetime maintenance. Each panel is manufactured to ASTM D4381 standards with customizable span capabilities, cut-outs, and surface finishes including silica-grit anti-slip coating.

Pultruded Grating Key Features

Advanced design features for maximum industrial performance

Superior Longitudinal Strength

Continuous unidirectional glass fiber reinforcement delivers exceptional strength-to-weight ratio in the load-bearing direction, supporting spans and loads that exceed molded grating capabilities by up to 300%.

Chemical & Corrosion Resistance

Resin systems engineered to withstand over 700 corrosive chemicals including acids, alkalis, solvents, and salts. Ideal for environments where steel grating fails within months due to corrosion.

Fire Retardant & Self-Extinguishing

Fire-retardant resin formulations achieve ASTM E84 Class I (flame spread ≤ 25) and Class II ratings with self-extinguishing properties, ensuring compliance with strict fire safety regulations.

Lightweight — 75% Lighter Than Steel

At approximately one-quarter the weight of steel, pultruded grating reduces transportation costs, enables faster installation without heavy lifting equipment, and lowers structural support requirements.

Slip-Resistant Safety Surface

Integrated anti-slip surface with optional silica-grit top coat provides excellent traction in wet, oily, or icy conditions. Engineered to meet OSHA and ANSI A1264.2 slip-resistance standards.

Non-Conductive & Non-Magnetic

Electrically non-conductive and non-magnetic properties make pultruded grating the safest choice for electrical substations, transformer yards, telecommunications facilities, and MRI suites.
